Meet the Fall 2016 Instructors!

Instructor16barKenzie, Jamie and Natalea welcome our new Program Coordinator and PATH Registered Instructor Rachel Royston. Our Instructors in Training are Madison Rogers and Amy Weaver.   Rachel comes to Turning Point from Agape Therapeutic Riding Center in Indiana but grew up in Shidler.  She is also PATH certified as a Mentor and Equine Specialist in Mental Health and Learning and is a Special Olympic Coach.  Madison is the current Turning Point Herd Manager, has completed her teaching hours and attended an Instructor Workshop in June.  She plans to test for certification soon.  Amy is a therapeutic recreation major at OSU who has also completed her teaching hours and plans to test for certification in November.

Earning PATH Registered Riding Instructor designation is a process that requires, online tests, 25 mentored teaching hours, attendance at a PATH Instructor Workshop and testing in both riding an instructing before PATH evaluators. It’s another way Turning Point insures the highest standards in instruction and safety for our riders, horses and volunteers.
