What Happens Here:

Therapeutic Riding

Therapeutic Riding helps people with challenges to develop muscles, social skills, focus, self control and abilities to live and work in our community

LITERACY PROGRAM

The HorseTales Literacy Program with Highland Park Elementary, a Title One School in Stillwater, gets first graders excited about reading and learning

EQUINE ASSISTED ACTIVITIES

Whether taking the mini horses to an assisted living center or bringing trauma survivors to work with horses unmounted, sessions produce new skills

Volunteers

In addition, hundreds of OSU students earn Academic and Community Service Credit along with resume-building skills through volunteer hours at Turning Point

Turning Point partners the magic of horses with tools to help people facing physical, mental, emotional or socio-economic challenges build successful futures.

Five Turning Point Riders brought home medals in Barrel Racing at Special Olympics last year: Olive on Isaiah won Gold, Lane on Sidekick also earned a Gold, Matt on Doc won Bronze, Anna on Doc took home a Silver an Maggie on Derby won Silver.
